In order to improve the construction time on site, and significantly reduce overall costs, VTP engineers assisted in the design and engineering of pre-constructed fully-clad ducting sections off-site and then transporting them to their final position. The final piece shown here, weighed in at almost 100-tonnes, was lifted from a single point and was installed in its final position on site within 12 hours.

By obtaining measurements on site, and through comprehensive data analysis, VTP engineers have identified the root cause of multiple failed large-diameter agitators on site. After identifying the root cause, the agitator design was lightly modified, and the modification was implemented on site. The improved life of the agitators resulted in significantly less down time for the mining facility.

On-Site Repairs of Storage Tanks

Scope: Tank Repairs
By designing temporary support frames and a carefully planned installation sequence, VTP engineers enabled the on-site replacement of significant portions of a large-diameter steel tank within a short time, minimising down time for the plant and ensuring long-term continued production by the equipment.
